About The Event

It’s that time again! The Lillie Carroll Jackson Civil Rights Museum invites you to join our annual Fall Docent Training.

Docents are trained museum volunteers who help connect visitors with the people, stories, collections, and history within the museum. As a docent, you’ll learn how to lead engaging tours for school and community groups, encourage meaningful conversations, and help visitors understand how Baltimore’s civil rights history continues to connect to the world around us today. This training is an opportunity to become part of a collective of storytellers committed to preserving history and sharing it with the next generation.
