About The Event

In this recurring series, Payton, our Resident Conservator-in-Training, will discuss what museum conservation is, why it is important, and share some helpful tips about preserving your family heirlooms. Payton will demonstrate dry cleaning techniques, proper object handling, and other preventative museum conservation practices. Drop in anytime between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to, ask questions, and see how care, science, and storytelling help preserve our shared history. 

Short “crash course” talks will take place at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM
